I’ve been lucky enough to see behind-the-scenes as Cate has built, filmed, shot and breathed life into her new project, the Pop Hive.
It’s a weekly online TV show all about pop culture and entertainment that’s both written and presented by her.

Episode one is now live, featuring an interview with DJ duo The Broken Hearts.
I’m insanely proud; it’s funny, sharp and I forsee big things. Props to Iain for building such a great site too, and producing the show on top of that!
A new episode of Pop Hive is released every Friday morning, for more information visit PopHive.tv, follow on Twitter or subscribe in a million ways via the site.

Damn, this is cool.
MSN’s Visualiser takes a song from Ninja Tune’s website, analyses the lyrics and scans Flickr for images that match them. In time with the track.
I tried it with The Heavy’s How You Like Me Now, which has a slow lead-in, so requires a hint of patience. But it’s totally worth it.

Now, it only has 47 songs complete at the moment, but the database of over 11,000 images mean that you get a totally different experience each time you play something.
PLUS, hit ‘Write’ on the right hand side, enter a message, write a song or type in a song lyric and the site will create you something in real time. It will suggest a song and match images accordingly.
The shots are a little pixelated for me, but that doesn’t take away from how impressive the finished result is.
