It’s incredibly sad to hear that the man credited with inspiring rap has died today. “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised” aside, his most recent collaboration with the XX’s Jamie Smith was outstanding. You can stream the full album on The Guardian’s music blog here.
…and it’s EPIC It’s been all over the web for months, but will officially be released as an EP on June 6. The animated video for was directed by Edouard Salier, whose previous work includes Massive Attack’s ‘Splitting The Atom’ and Air’s ‘So Light Is Her Footfall’.
