This is 16-year-old Cher Lloyd’s X Factor audition. I like her very much.
For a change, Cowell might have just have uncovered a real bit of talent here.
She’s cute, original (chosing to sing the Keri Hilson version of Soulja Boy’s Turn My Swag On) and seems naturally nervous yet not phased by the concept of the show.
I just hope that the X Factor machine, the publicity and the sudden interest in such a young girl’s life doesn’t become too much for her.
Watch out for Cole and Imbruglia, whose faces say a thousand words. Namely, ‘I’m consumed by jealousy’. Priceless.
I love this girl too. I cannot stop singing the song which is really annoying me (and my bf) but still. She just needs a bit of help with eyebrow shaping but I agree – very cute and destined for success!
At 16, she really doesn’t need shaping, she just needs to wear less make-up/apply it properly…

She’s amazing. And I love that Cheryl wants to work with her, instead of being like, “Eugh, she’s too much like me. No.”

@Cate For sure, but Cheryl’s too polished to let anything like that slip. I hope she ends up as Cher’s mentor though. That could work out beautifully.

1-You could *literally* see Cowell’s eyes light up like Tim Curry as the Grinch in Home Alone 2. That was awesome.
2-Cheryl Cole barely containing her seething jealousy. That was awesome.
3-Making Keri Hilson palatable. That was surprising.
