Three day countdown to the Global Cool Swish

Tote II

It’s only three days till the Swish, and there have been some very exciting last minute developments.

First, a big thank you to Red Cube Marketing, who have made a last minute donation to the event and now join Yelp and MyEhive as main sponsors for the evening.

Red Cube are a no nonsense, ‘tell it like it is’ marketing, PR and social media consultancy run by Gemma Went. They focus on the design and architectural industries, working with companies like Saatchi & Saatchi, Fluid Finance and Adrem to create business opportunities and increase brand awareness.

Also, thanks to a fantastic suggestion by the lovely Jaz Cummins, we’ll be packing our eco-friendly tote bags with goodies. This will include KitKat Senses bars, Current TV Oyster Card holders, zero-waste flowers from Henry and Jayne, as well as many more that you’ll find out on the night ;)

I’ll be sending out a running order for the night to all participants tomorrow, and I’m really looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday evening at 7pm.

Really Mobile: Does your mobile speak volumes about who you are?

“Things have been a bit quiet from my side recently, but I’m now firmly back on UK time and returning my attention to all things mobile.

While in L.A., I had various conversations with many different people about their respective phones, relating specifically to why they’d purchased them. A large percentage of the responses actually focused on aesthetic or ‘touchy feely’ aspects, rather than technical capabilities. In fact, even here at Really Mobile, many reviews start from this point before digging deeper. Often, I’ll compare shape, weight or design first and foremost (which I’ll come back to in a minute)…”

Yelp and MyEhive support the Global Cool Swish

Things are in FULL swing for the Global Cool Swish event that’s happening in a few weeks. If you still haven’t signed up, grab one of last few remaining tickets here, give yourself a wardrobe refesh and do your bit for climate change – all for free.

Speaking of which, it’s my pleasure to announce that we’ve now got two fantastic sponsors on board. Yelp, a community of real people writing real reviews, is our lead sponsor and will be providing an eco-friendly Tote bag for every attendee to take home their wares in. Plus, you’ll get your first drink free in the shape of a ‘Yelptini’, a fabulous cocktail created by them for one night only.

Grabbing a quick bite before the event? Craving a post-party nightcap? Use Yelp to uncover the hidden hot spots around Soho and beyond, or share some local knowledge of your own.

We’ll also be providing some nibbles for the evening courtesy of MyEhive.com, Britain’s brand new on-line marketplace for producers of handmade goods. I’m so pleased to have the team there involved becaase I’m a big fan of the site. The good news for creative types is that MyEhive charges no commission, so both sellers and buyers get the very best price for their product. Everybody wins!
